TAGSTRUST PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGY
VERA™
Tagstrust
Physical-digital link. Evidence. Traceability. Authenticity.
An infrastructure that connects digital identity to the physical product and turns verifications and changes in integrity into recorded evidence.
See how it works ↓HOW IT WORKS
The identity remains.
The status evolves.
The same identity can be verified before and after opening. What changes is the evidence associated with the product.
The tag is applied at the point defined for each product. Its unique identity is registered within the VERA™ infrastructure and associated with that physical item.
Opening does not end the product’s digital identity. It changes the product’s status and creates verifiable evidence. At the first subsequent reading, this condition is detected and recorded in the cloud.
EACH INTERACTION CAN GENERATE EVIDENCE
From the physical product
to a cloud-based event record.
* Location depends on the device, the architecture used, and applicable permissions. NFC alone does not provide location data.
EVENT HISTORY
One identity.
New evidence throughout the product lifecycle.
The information below is illustrative and shows how different events can form a history associated with the product.
- APPLICATION AND REGISTRATIONIdentity created
Link established with the physical product.
- 14:32 · VERIFICATIONProduct verified
Seal intact.
- 18:47 · OPENINGChange in integrity
The tag’s physical status is permanently changed.
- 19:02 · NEW VERIFICATIONOpening detected
Product verified, seal already opened, and evidence recorded in the cloud.
FOUR FOUNDATIONS
What defines VERA™.
Physical-digital link
Keeps the digital identity associated with the physical product.
Evidence
Turns verifications and changes in integrity into recorded events.
Traceability
Enables an interaction history to be built around the item’s identity.
Authenticity
Uses cryptographic authentication to verify the product’s identity.
LAYERED PROTECTION
Technology, cryptography,
and physical mechanisms.
VERA™ combines multiple layers to preserve the physical-digital link, recognise changes in integrity, and record verifiable evidence.
This architecture helps make cloning, unauthorised identity duplication, tag reuse, and other forms of fraud more difficult.
APPLICATIONS ACROSS INDUSTRIES
One infrastructure.
Different contexts.
VERA™ can be configured according to the product, risks, journey, and evidence that needs to be preserved.
Agriculture
Identity, authentication, and traceability for seeds, crop protection products, biological inputs, fertilisers, and other products.
Food and beverages
Authenticity, origin, packaging integrity, and post-sale interaction, including premium beverages and specialty coffees.
Healthcare and veterinary products
Product identity, packaging integrity, and a history of verifications and events, according to the application requirements.
Luxury and premium products
Brand protection and preservation of the link between the physical product and its digital identity.
Artworks and collectibles
Individual identity, a link to the artwork or item, and access to provenance and history information.
Circular packaging
Identity continuity and event records across use, return, or reuse cycles.
THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY
One identity.
Different verification points.
A reading can take place at origin, throughout distribution, and through to the end consumer. Each tap can add new evidence to the product’s history.
A fast experience.
Simply bring an NFC-enabled phone close to the tag to start verification and view the product’s identity and integrity status.
Turning events into intelligence.
Interactions can feed a monitoring dashboard with authentication results, integrity status, number of readings, date, time, history, and location.
* Location depends on the device, architecture, and applicable permissions. The journey represents recorded reading points, not continuous tracking.
The opening is detected during the first reading performed after the physical change to the tag.
DATA AND INTELLIGENCE
From the physical product
to verifiable data.
Each reading adds an observation point to the product’s history. Manufacturing and batch information can be associated by the company; verifications, changes in integrity, and their respective timestamps become part of the evidence recorded by the infrastructure.
This view can support traceability, brand and consumer protection, after-sales intelligence, and event analysis. Artificial intelligence systems can also benefit from data whose origin is linked to verified interactions with identified physical products.
Before generating intelligence, the origin of the data must be trusted.
VERA™ acts as an identity, evidence, and trust layer that can complement ERPs, analytics platforms, and other enterprise infrastructure.
VERIFIABLE TRUST
Technology evolves.
Principles endure.
VERA™ was created in continuous dialogue with the concept of Verifiable Trust: a digital identity should remain linked to the physical product, data should have a recognisable origin, and relevant changes should be capable of becoming evidence.
These principles guide an infrastructure that can evolve through new capabilities, components, and integrations without losing its purpose.
AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH
See what becomes possible when every product has a verifiable identity.
VERA™ connects digital identity, physical integrity, cryptographic authentication, and event records within a single trust infrastructure.
The 90-day VERA™ Pilot makes it possible to assess this approach under real-world conditions, with the product, journey, scope, and indicators defined jointly.
